Here's a quick way to see if your dentist might be cutting corners. When you're in for your next cleaning, ask if the person cleaning your teeth is a Registered Dental Hygienist.
If the person is not a Registered Dental Hygenist, they're not legally allowed to inspect and clean below the gum line, which to my mind is a critical step to any effective cleaning.
